SurveyGold, first built in 1998, made surveys quick and easy for organizations on the web, on paper, and in person. TopTenREVIEWS gave it Bronze and Excellence awards in 2012 and a Best Intuitive Design award for 2014.

SurveyGold's online response processing ends January 1, 2027. The desktop app and your historical data stay available. For new online surveys, SurveyGold customers can move to Candor.

Who's behind it

Golden Hills Software is Chuck Boudreau. He started out building enterprise systems at Texas Instruments, Exxon, McDonnell Douglas, and Westinghouse. Then came writing, consulting, and conference talks across North America and Europe as companies moved to client-server computing.

  • Compassion International, 1997 to 2016 and 2021 to 2024Software developer, then enterprise technology architect, enterprise business architect, and IT product management advisor. Later a contract business architect for the Christian Collective for Social Innovation, a Compassion and Baylor University effort supporting youth entrepreneurship in Kenya, Haiti, Peru, and Nicaragua. Over those years Compassion grew from $55 million to over $1 billion in annual revenue.
  • Product managementPragmatic Institute certified, PMC Level II.
  • COIN, the Circle of InteractionA method he developed over more than ten years for designing business processes.
  • AuthorCo-wrote Que's Using PowerBuilder 5 and Using Microsoft Internet Information Server in 1996, and wrote a regular byline for Databased Advisor.
